Jamie Foxx took to social media to reveal some heartbreaking news. As it turns out, the actor’s sister, DeOndra, has tragically passed away at the age of only 36.
Foxx shared the tragic announcement, paying tribute to the Global Down Syndrome ambassador that he was so proud to call his family and dubbing her a ‘bright light.’
The 52 year old actor shared the news earlier today on his IG account, posting sweet throwback pics of him and his sister, who had a huge smile on her face in every snap!
Alongside the images, Foxx wrote: ‘My heart is shattered into a million pieces…my beautiful loving sister Deondra has transitioned…I say transitioned because she will always be alive…anyone who knew my sis…knew that she was a bright light. I can’t tell you how many times we have had parties at the house where she has got on the dance floor and stolen the show…even gave her boyfriend @chrisbrownofficial a run for his money.’
‘Well I know she is in heaven now dancing with her wings on…tho my pain is unbelievable I smile when I think of all of the great memories that she left me… my family… and her friends. But Jamie promised that he will be filling that hole with all the wonderful memories he got from his now late sister.
Finally, he expressed once again just how much he loves DeOndra and asked fans to keep her in their prayers.
