Prior to having started off her journey as an actress, Sakshi had worked as a marketing consultant for Tata Consultancy Services before moving on to work at Infosys in 2010, from where she decided to quit in January 2013, in order to pursue a career in acting.

It was during a charity fashion show for a friend, where she was discovered by a modeling recruiter who in turn introduced her to various advertisement directors.

She made her debut theatrical film appearance as a Girl ordering Cappuccino in Raja Rani in 2013. However, her role was uncredited. Later, in 2014, Sakshi made her debut credited Kannada language role as Nancy in Software Ganda.

Since making her debut in 2013, Sakshi has starred in several films and shows such as Aranmanai 3, Cinderella, Ka Ka Ka Po, and Thiruttu VCD.

In 2019, Sakshi was featured as a contestant in Star Vijay’s Bigg Boss Tamil 3. However, she was evicted on day 49.
