Stacey Dashs Husband Bails Her Out Of Jail After Her Domestic Violence Arrest

Police arrested Clueless star Stacey Dash for domestic violence over the weekend after she allegedly attacked her husband, Jeffrey Marty, and pushed her 15-year-old stepdaughter. However, just hours later, Marty paid the $500 to bail his wife out of jail.

According to The Daily Mail, Dash was the one who called 911 at around 7:45 pm on Sunday and told dispatch that her husband had put her in a choke hold after they got into a fight over Dash pushing his teenage daughter.

“We were all arguing, I asked his daughter to get out of my face because she was in my face, I pushed her back, he put me into a chokehold,” she told a 911 operator.

Dash also said that her husband had three “awful children” – ages 15, 14, and 10 – who were conspiring against her. “He’s taking pictures of scratches on his arm that I did not put there.”

When Pasco County, Florida police arrived at the home Dash shares with Marty, they ended up taking her into custody, and the bodycam footage shows that the actress was wearing only a t-shirt and flip-flops when officers cuffed her and put her in the back of a squad car.

Around the same time officers were taking his wife to jail, Marty tweeted, “Anyone who would falsely use law enforcement to destroy another person’s life deserves exactly what they get.”

Still, just hours later Marty bailed Dash out of the Land-O-Lakes Detention Facility, even though he had “sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed,” according to the police report.

The 52-year-old actress is now facing up to one year in prison, and the court has assigned her a public defender after Dash claimed she was indigent. After proving that she couldn’t afford a lawyer, the court assigned assistant public defender Peter J. Gorn to defend her in this case.

After Marty bailed her out, the cash bond paperwork stated that Dash’s next court appearance was “to be set.” Dash and Marty are still allowed to stay in contact as the case plays out even though the complaint against her states that she “pushed the victim and slapped him in the face.”

The paperwork also noted that Dash and her husband of one year “reside in the same household together as a family unit,” and they are “intimate partners.”
